This morning the group is shopping. They are buying food, school supplies and diapers to take up to La Laguna. Then they have the fun of cramming all of it, as well as themselves, into (& on) a pick-up truck for the trek up the mountain to the village. The one woman in this group will get the "seat of honor" -- the passenger seat of the pick-up.
From now until they come down out of the village next Friday (Aug 14), there will probably not be much, if any, communication. Cell phone service is very spotty at best. So far the communication has been by text.
